History: From a church to Pathpoint Cologne

When we were deciding on a name for our new backpacker hostel, we felt the need to honour the history of the building as a church. We quickly realized that a house with the heritage of a church as well as a future as a hostel is a place for people who are travelling on their own path.

The name "Pathpoint" expresses exactly this notion. Our house is supposed to be a point on your own way. It wasn’t only us, however, who decided on this name. We asked backpackers from all over the world and they chose this name among a lot of others:
